About
A brand-new cultural event celebrating contemporary jewellery, art jewellery and adornment will make its debut this September as Manchester Jewellery Week launches across the city.
The week is themed ‘I Wanna Be Adorned’ and will bring together jewellers, designer-makers, artists, students, collectors and jewellery lovers for a week of exhibitions, talks, walks and workshops. Manchester Jewellery Week invites you to explore jewellery as art, craft, and social commentary within Manchester’s vibrant cultural landscape.
Meet the team
Co-founded by Manchester jewellers Jo Lavelle and Eve Redmond – who were inspired by the internationally renowned jewellery week in Munich – ‘I Wanna Be Adorned’ is the first jewellery week for Manchester.
Jo and Eve have teamed up with Manchester based fellow jewellers Mark McLeish, Sarah O’Hana, Sadie Blythin and Stacey Hill to create the event. The team work as studio jewellers, educators, event organisers and with their combined knowledge make team MJW26.
